About Lyons
Hi, I'm Lyons, and I currently go to Brown University. I've been playing classical music for over 15 years, and teaching for 3! I graduated from Manhattan School of Music in 2023, and since then, I've been teaching classical music (and some pop music) on and off both at Providence and on Long Island. I have experience with the Royal Conservatory of Music (and I can also help with music theory). In my spare time, I like to learn languages, work out, and bake!
After going through 5+ teachers over the span of my career, I've learned many valuable insights that will help you accelerate your learning.
Here's what you'll learn:
To find your own voice on the instrument, approaching your development holistically and also guide you to become your own pianist. Think of me more as a mentor!
Some music theory along the way, as some is necessary for understanding the score!
To practice as efficiently as possible, with minimal pain.
How to interpret music, depending on the time period.
To get you so good at piano that you can do away with piano lessons.
Lastly, to make learning piano fun and meaningful!
I offer a free 15 minute trial lesson, so you get an idea of what lessons are like.
