About Andrei

I always liked teaching and already started teaching from 16 years old while I was studing in college.

Education:

Teacher Diploma from Moscow Conservatory (2014-2020) and Academic Music College of Moscow State Conservatory (2010-2014)

Experience:

Provate teaching for more then 8 years.

Manhattan School of Music, Teaching Artist in Distance learning program, (2017-2019)

Woodfort County High School for Girls in Woodford Green, Essex, United Kingdom. (2019)

The Boys’ Club of New York (Created a music appreciation program in 2021)

Bronx School for Music (2021-)

About the lesson

Whether I am teaching piano, or composition, or theory and harmony, or a eurhythmics class, I have one purpose—for all of my students to experience music with deep, personal joy. Music is magic,in that it makes us feel alive, and connects us with our life experience, our essence, and with each other.

As a piano teacher, my goal is to get my students to the level where they know how to teachthemselves. This means having the musical understanding a literacy to learn music from a score, the tools and ears to practice, and the standards to reach a level of presentability.

I have very different strategies for each student, depending on the level and interests of the students.

I work with any students from 4 years old and up. I also have an experience teaching children with special needs.

I think it is important to find a good teacher with a good education, but also somebody who will inspire you!

Recently my student (8 years old) learned the whole composition in 20 minutes and performed it on the concert next week! So proud of him!
