About Russell
We work mainly on music you enjoy and want to play. I have my own padagogy of music theory that I teach, developing over years.
When a student legitimately improves, and enjoys playing. Music does for the soul what food does for the body.
Playing in a dozen show bands, thousands of theater shows aboard 5 cruise lines has been an education in itself.
B.S. in Music Performance/Composition. Workshop at New Orleans Classical Piano Institute.
I received instruction from jazz pianist/composer, Gilmore Artist Ron Di Salvio. Master classes taken included Woody Herman Band Pianist Chip Stevens and International Competition Winner Alan Chow.

English
I see what a person is interested playing, or already playing, and use that to drive technique and music theory- applicable to everything. I am very pragmatic about learning what is useful, applicable. I also do a fair amount of duets, useful for solo pianists in particular.
