About Carlisle
When it comes to piano, my specialty is post-romantic French music. I focus heavily on Debussy in my personal playing, with a background in foundational romantic music like Chopin, Grieg, and Rachmoninoff.
I am comfortable teaching a wide range of vocal styles, from classical to Broadway to pop. Personally my voice is suited for more lyrical and jazz styles, so I focus on a clean, healthy, and expressive sound.
I have performed in musical theater, sang backup for artists such as Josh Groban, performed opening piano music for the local film festival, and arranged for a capella choirs, but my truest dedication to music comes from church performance. I have been a choir member all my life, both at church and community groups, and I regularly perform jazz and pop pieces in services at FUMC Boulder.
