About Kyra

Helping people find thier true voice, be it singing, acting, public speaking, or just wanting to be heard with more authority and convictions, is my passion.

I've been successfully coaching students of all ages for years and have many stage productions to my credit.

Kyra was an assistant theatre teacher for 6 years at The Charles Wood Theater in Glens Falls, teaching children from the ages of 3-12 how to sing, act, and dance. They were able to learn stage presence, how to project their voice in a healthy way, the functions of every job in the theater, and costuming.

Kyra had performed in over 50 musicals before graduating high school, some of those roles being
Medda Larkin in Newsies, Asaka in Once On This Island, Tracy in Hairspray, and Rafiki in The Lion
King.

About the lesson

Kyra believes there is not “one” way to teach. While many students like to be in a book, learning
technique page by page, other students want to jump straight into their favorite songs, learning their favorite songs the first day they walk through our doors.

I have worked with just about every age and experience level there is.

I have also taught students with special needs, that may need a little extra time and energy to get where they want to be. Music is for everyone, and I am a patient teacher who will guide you through your musical journey.

Always make sure you meet them and see if there is a connection. For me, I am fortunate that people have felt comfortable right away over the years. That level of trust and comfort is the basis for making this a rewarding experience.
