About Barbara
Online lessons are the present reality and also the wave of the future. During the pandemic, I am offering a free 4 week introductory piano class. My strong belief in the spiritual and mental benefits of music making guides me to make this offer at this time.
I offer several piano methods, depending on your goals. My favorite is Piano Safari, an approach that integrates reading, technique, and rote learning with online video and audio support between lessons. I have a degree in Music Education and have also taught public school music. My other job is as a Music Director for a Unitarian congregation.
I am a life-long learner, and constantly taking new webinars and trainings to become a better and more well-rounded teacher and musician. Learning piano has changed so much in the past couple of decades! With me, you will experience first-hand how it is possible to learn to play the piano in a supportive and exciting format.
