About Thad
Have you ever wanted to be able to play whatever song is in your head? Have you ever heard a song and wished you could just sit down and play it or accompany yourself while you sing it? Well it’s actually not as complicated as it sounds, and it would be my pleasure to help you unlock that potential in yourself! I’ve been playing piano for nearly twenty five years, and I’m that time, learned over 150 songs across a dozen genres including rock, jazz, country, ragtime, blues and more! I’ve developed a curriculum that uses popular songs to teach increasingly difficult musical concepts and styles until you’re able to apply your abilities to any song you hear and understand how to play it! I have a tremendous passion for music and I will work tirelessly to help you find the level of joy and satisfaction in music that you’re looking for. It’s an incredible adventure! would you like to join me?
just now. I could use some extra income during these difficult times and I believe my ability to teach piano and music theory has some value
I’m mostly self taught, but I’ve honed my ear for music through years of practice in church choirs, community theatre, DJing karaoke and playing with various bands and at folk music gatherings.

As hands-on as possible! New students are frequently timid when playing because they’re scared of doing it wrong or making mistakes. I endeavor to help new students learn early on that a piano is not fragile and that there are far fewer wrong notes than they think.
