About Kayley
I have always wanted to teach because I have always loved working with kids. I have been babysitting for ten years and I love seeing the smiles on students faces when they get a question right or when they are flustered and they try their best to work through their answers. I was that student who had alot of difficulty in school with tests especially with math. I had quite a few tutors in my day and want to be that person for another student.
I am a fourth grade elementary school teacher. I obtained my bachelors degree in Elementary/ Special education and English from Seton Hall University. I am in the process of applying to Monmouth University for my Masters in Literacy to become a Reading Specialist.

It is okay to be nervous and it is okay to be upset that you may need a tutor. I understand how it feels because when I was younger I had a math tutor for most of my life. I had many different ones and they each stuck out to me a certain way with how they taught. I began to enjoy my sessions because my tutors genuinely cared about my feelings and would ask how I was doing before we even started in math. They would ask me how my day had gone and if I wanted to talk about anything, it was a nice way to ease in to the tutoring sessions. I try to do the same in my sessions and make them creative and engaging with a small reward system in play.
