About Caitlin
I have recieved instruction in a variety of fields within education and english, which has carried over to help students succeed in a variety of population.
My passion is to continue to work with students, whether it be speech or english, and continue to build a company that is able to provide services in order for people to succeed
I received speech for many years as an elementary student. The best day was when I had friends and peers comment on how well my speech was, and that they could understand me (it was really bad). I strive to give this to any student I work with, because the feeling of accomplishing a goal is one of the best.
I typically begin with a review of homework or any assignments, then move on to the work planned for the session.
BSEd in Education of communication sciences and disorders (speech therapy)
Masters in Special Education w/an emphasis in Autism and ABA coming December 2019
I am a certified special education teacher, under a provisional license directly from UGA’s graduate program, and am licensed as a Speech Language Therapist Assitiant.

The first session with a new student is the “get to know each other”. This is where I am able to figure out what the student likes (such as games, sticker, snacks, etc), in order to tailor interventions and assignments geared towards their interest. This is where I also so personal screenings or pre-tests to determine their skill level, as well as talk to the parents, and help establish a routine.
I have worked with:
the special education population, ranging from mild forms autism and developmental delays/disorders to moderate-severe
The special education population regarding ADHD, learning disabilities, and articulation/phonological disorders/delays
The genreal education population from pre-k to 5th grade
