About Amber-Ann

I am a highschool student and have a deep passion for teaching. I graduated as valedictorian from New World Preparatory Charter School, was on a cheer team for 3 years, where I was captain for 2, along with being on a track team for 2. I won first place all around undefeated in a NYC debate competition, along with being nominated for multiple leader roles in my school. I am committed to making sure eveyone understands the importance and key aspects of literature in a way that's best for them. I am also capable in tutoring in other fields, such as science, math and photography. I specialize in grades K-8.

I have worked in small groups of students in grades k-8, where I have assisted in their learning.

About the lesson

I believe in student and teacher relationships. A student won't learn unless they like who is teaching them. I would first assure the student that this is a safe area where they do not have to fear failure. I would then begin working on key areas where the student feels they are lacking expertise.

I have worked with elementary and middle school students.
