About Bailey

Hello! My name is Bailey! I graduated with academic honors from Washburn University and have received both a Bachelor's and a Master's degree. My Bachelor's is in Elementary Education with a minor in Early childhood and my Master's is in Curriculum & Instruction with an emphasis in Educational Technology. I have ten years of teaching experience and have worked with students in grades K-5. Currently, I am a reading teacher, helping struggling students get back up to grade level. I am so excited to meet your student and to see them grow in their abilities. Thank you for the opportunity to be a part of their educational journey!

I enjoy seeing the "spark" that happens when a student finally understands a challenging concept.

About the lesson

I like to start each of my classes by getting to know the student. Building relationships is important and can help increase the success of a student.

Prior to teaching a new student, I review grade-level standards. This gives me a starting point so that I will be able to identify areas of strengths and growth. Once an area of growth has been determined, I structure our sessions around the student's needs.
