About Patrick

I am a certified NRA instructor (handgun, rifle, shotgun & reloading) and an active competitive shooter. I am also the owner of and head gunsmith at Skypilot Gunsmithing and a 20 veteran of the USAF. I work on everything from Air Guns to Maching Guns. I offer $10 transfers and $40 NFA transfers for those who want to suppress their firearm. My partner and I also offer custom firearms, refinishing servies (from bluing to duracoat/ceracoat) plus consignment and retail sales.

I enjoy fixing firearms of all kinds ensuring folks can safely enjoy the shooting sports. In addition, I enjoy helping make sure that folks have the right firearm for the task they want to engage in as well as imparting training and information in the proper and safe use of the firearm.

I have a strong desire to ensure the shooting sports are enjoyed by making sure that not only is the equipment safe and sound but that the folks who engage in them do so safely. This desire has led me to seek out training for myself so I can train others.

I am certified by the NRA is handgun, rifle, shotgun and reloading. I am also a graduate of the American Gunsmithing Institute.

About the lesson

I begin by discovering what the student wants to get out of the training. Next we explore their learning style and then chart a course for training.

I have worked with all kinds of folks from age 6 to adult.

Check out their credentials! There are a lot of folks out there who just want your money. The best teachers are the ones who are more interested in student success than in personal accolades.

I enjoy watching as the student grasps what is being presented and all the pieces of the puzzle come together!
