About Allison

I have been trained by some of the world's most renowned experts. I can teach you how to free your voice in a healthy way so you can reach your full potential and enjoy singing on a new level!

I love working with people who want to find their voices and who are curious about what they can do! It is so exciting to see progress in my students and watch them be able to sing music they never thought possible. It's an exciting journey!

I started teaching when I was at the Cincinnati Conservatory of Music where I taught Musical Theater majors.

I have a Bachelor of Music in Voice Performance and a Bachelor of Music Education from Indiana Univeristy Jacobs School of Music, a Master of Vocal Performance, and a Doctorate of Music from the Cincinnati Conservatory of Music. I received a Fullbright Scholarship to study music in Germany.

About the lesson

I like to assess where the new student is currently and then together we make some realistic goals. I demonstrate the basics of breathing and explain the nuts and bolts of singing. It's always fun to explore the possibilities with new students!

All kinds of students at every age group from children to older adults. I have taught serious opera singers and musical theater performers and amateurs alike.

I would recommend only going to a teacher with a comprehensive background in music including education and performing experience.

One of my students recently placed in a vocal competition and another one of my students was recently offered a full scholarship to a university for music.

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
I would recommend asking about his or her education and who he or she studied voice with the in the past.

I like to sing for fun and I started lessons with Dr. Rohrer about a year ago. She really helped me to understand breathing and how to support. My singing has improved so much and I'm so grateful to have the opportunity to work with such a teacher here in Coppell.
