About Tony
In the beginning it is important for a teacher to understand what the student knows and does not know. It is extremely important to make sure that the teacher does not make assumptions about a students knowledge of the instrument or music in general. I strive to get to a starting point where the simplest items are not overlooked but rather used as foundations for the unbelievable amount of musical and instrumental knowledge that is to be found in this wonderful world of sound. It gives me no greater pleasure than see the "lights go on" in a students mind when you see they are getting it. It is a reward unto itself.
