This year I started playing soccer at a higher level, and I wanted to improve my overall game. A friend of mine recommended Coach Dan. In the small amount of time that I was with him, I was able to improve. I had to work hard during every session, but he made practice enjoyable. He shared a lot of tips and tricks, and I was able to work on many different aspects of my game. I was able to work on my first touch, which needed improvement, while still incorporating other parts of soccer such as shooting, agility, and ball control. We did many different drills, and Coach Dan made some of them feel like a game-like situation. Overall, I am very happy with the one-on-one training I received. I plan to revisit some of my skills with him throughout this coming season. I recommend him highly for soccer players of all levels.

Our daughter has been playing soccer at a recreational level for a few years, but this has been on poor performing, parent coached teams with very minimal development for the players. Once she went into 7th and 8th grade, we thought that her school offer more development opportunities, but unfortunately, they seem to expect the parents to provide them with fully realized players – in fact, many of them do arrive with select soccer experience. In short, we wanted to provide our daughter with select level development, but without the all-consuming select team commitment that tends to crowd out other activities. This is where coach Dan really shines.
He is very knowledgeable about soccer, both as a coach and a player. We are not, so his expertise is very critical. Dan is an engaging coach who makes the development workouts fun. He especially good at coming up with new drills and exercises that keep things from getting repetitive or boring. If you have ever had your child go through structured batting practice in baseball or softball, you would have seen a lot of repetition of drills from workout to workout. Dan’s approach to soccer is the opposite. He’s given our daughter more confidence as a player and more enjoyment of the game.

Coach Dan is very good at making soccer fun and engaging. Every day he sets up new drills, warm-ups, and exercises so I don’t get bored. Sometimes, he even implements small competitions into exercises (such as juggling) to increase motivation. He always encourages me even when I feel tired, which can give me the final boost I need to get through the lesson.

“ The story of my daughter “
It all begin last year when Mia decided that she wanted to play soccer again after letting the sport aside when her former coach quit and the team dissolved. She was a successful soccer player in recreational league.
Here we are after 2 years of not playing, touching the soccer ball looking for a soccer club to join, very disappointed for her to endure that she did not have skills level nor the confidence to play club. Her strong character helped her not give up after being denied by 2 different clubs ( this is what coach Dan helped her with, confidence and character ).
Finally she found coach Dan (Daniel Hasty) a coach who does private skills lessons for players struggling with confidence and self esteem, something that Mia has been dealing with since kindergarten. I go to every single game and practice, since she has been taking private lessons I can see the huge improvement she has accomplished.
Now she plays for Solar Soccer Club, also she has been selected to play soccer for her High School team ( freshman year) and this was her main goal/dream to be part of Wylie High soccer team “ Lady pirates “. We had conversations about how she was going to make it into the soccer program at school with out playing club at all, since it’s very competitive.
To give a good ending to this story I will like to finish with this….. on November 13th playing as a right back position she had the courage to go on offense in a corner kick and scored a goal, unbelievable !!! That little shy girl she was a year ago.

The reason I love learning soccer from Coach Dan is because he is funny and you make practice fun. Also it's because you make me a hard worker and make me want to be a better soccer player. You also help me get through soccer whenever I need your help, thank you very much.

Dan has a great knowledge when it comes to soccer and how to work with what your weaknesses are individually. My soccer skills continue to improve and grow after each session with Coach Dan.

For example…my ball control used to be out of control all the time. Now i can simply control the ball in almost any situation. He has helped me improve on my one-on-one situations, as well as my shot on goal! All of the things I really wanted to improve on. It also helps that Dan pushes me to become better every time i go!

Hi, my name is Mia Lujan I started going to coach Dan at the end of March 2021. I was a former rec player but I hadn’t played soccer for two years before I saw coach Dan. I was clearly lacking skill and technique. Most of all I was lacking confidence. When I went to coach Dan he never made me feel like I was behind or dumb. He was always so nice about things but he still pushed me to be my best. The main reason I started training with coach Dan was to reach my goal, which was to make a competitive soccer team this in coming year. Under his training and coaching I’m proud to say I’m a part of a Solar Club team!

I've been working with Coach Dan for over six months. He's been helping improve my game as a winger/forward. His criticism is always constructive, and he is very good at helping me fix my mistakes during our drills. Coach Dan doesn't yell, but still gets his point across and motivates me to work harder. He's helped me be more aggressive, and to go after the ball harder. We worked on this because my team coach said it was something I needed to develop, and so Coach Dan focused on it. Each practice includes work on agility, shooting, ball handling, soccer intelligence, and most of all confidence in myself. He really works to build me up, and has shared tips and tricks that no other coach has ever taught me before. He really demonstrates a love for the game, and a desire to share his knowledge with others.

Coach Dan has not only helped improve my skill but also my love from the sport. Every time I go to him I learn something new and how to improve. If you’re looking for somebody to really improve your skill work I would recommend Coach Dan! He also incorporates what you want to improve on each session, so you’re always working on what you specifically need to improve.

Coach Dan is simply amazing! He is extremely patient and dedicated to the game. I have benefited so much from training with Coach Dan in these past few weeks. He has helped me not only in the areas that I struggle but also in areas where I already feel confident. Coach Dan has been vital to my daughter’s success in soccer. I originally signed her up for private lessons because she was doubting herself and unsure if she wanted to continue playing. My name is Mia Martinez and I am honored to be writing this Letter of Recommendation for my former coach, Daniel Hasty. Coach Dan has had the biggest impact of my soccer life than any of the other coaches I have trained with combined. I met coach Dan and trained with him when I was 9 years old until I was 15 years old. Throughout my experience with him I gained so much valuable soccer skills as the years went by, and my love for the game grew.
Coach Dan is by far not like other coaches. Usually, when a coach noticed his players are not in the game or even being slaughtered by the other team, they yell and scream at their team to get back in the game. Now with coach Dan, that never happens. Every game, win or lose, he sits on the bench and evaluates. He evaluates how the other team is preforming and how every individual player on his team is preforming. He waits until all his players are together during a water break or halftime to tell us what he sees. He gives his players a different point of view when it comes to them on the field to find the best strategy to use for the situation.
Each training session was an exciting and unique practice to focus on all the different kinds of skill sets mentally and physically. When I began training with him, I only knew one position, forward and was a mediocre player. As the sessions got more intense over time, I developed to know how to adapt to any position on the field and even making it to the Olympic Development Program of North Texas when I was 13. I ended up standing out among my teammates due to the different techniques I have previously learned from Dan.
My time with Dan was well worth every minute and made soccer more competitive and fun. Coach Dan is one of the most kind-hearted people I know and to this day cannot remember ever seeing him without a smile. I would recommend Coach Dan to any player who has a great love for the sport, and who has the drive to become a better player. I genuinely believe that if any player has the motivation to be better, Daniel Hasty will make it happen.

Coach Dan was extremely flexible with my hectic schedule. I am impressed how he went above and beyond in that area and the structure of practice. I am a novice soccer coach of a new boys team and needed major assistance. He stepped in with experience and patience with the boys and has given them a solid foundation to build on. We cannot recommend Dan Hasty enough. We were fortunate to meet Dan and his family in 2006. His daughter Katy and our daughter Hannah joined the same team. They were four years old and fell in love with soccer. We were very fortunate when Dan began coaching the team. The skill level for all the players increased dramatically once Dan began his skills training which ultimately led to a long string of winning seasons. He coached Hannah for over 10 years and she benefited greatly. But most of all Dan instilled the love for soccer through his own passion for the game that he has played since he was a kid. For Hannah he has been a great teacher of ball skills and strategy. But he also provided many life lessons that greatly influenced Hannah as she has grown. We highly recommend Dan to coach soccer players of all ages. He is man of great integrity.

Dan Hasty coached my son’s soccer team from U5 (recreation)-U17 (select), teaching specific game skills, overall conditioning and game strategy while working consistently to grow and improve those skills in a patient and age appropriate manner. He was always prepared with specific objectives for practice, working with individual players and groups, incorporating those lessons into the team’s game plan. He was always available to and supportive of the players, willing to work as hard as the players were, both on and off the pitch. As the boys matured and soccer began to share more time with school, other sports and extra-curricular activities, Dan was just as influential in teaching them how to manage their time, set priorities and meet their goals. It is amazing to watch Dan connect with a player and share his knowledge, understanding of, and passion for soccer.

Over the past few years, Coach Dan was a very important figure to the development, understanding and love for the sport not only from my daughter Abigail Sosa but also from all the other players who were part of the Cheetahs and later Aces soccer club. He was instrumental and influential in and outside of the soccer fields. He taught this group of girls many sportsmanship and human skills at different levels that are needed to be players with a strong mentality, and was able to create a very competitive team. Coach Dan led our girls team through many successful seasons as his leadership and experienced skills proved very important for the team. He created a team that very often led the groups both in recreational but most important in competitive level of soccer. It was very exciting to see a group of girls being among the best ranked teams and winning many first place seasons or tournaments He instilled several sport and life skills that were and will be important for my daughter’s developments both as a person and as a player and not only in the sport of soccer but also any other sport she chooses to play. He created a group of players that had a winner’s mentality, played hard as a group, and always exhibited good sportsmanship conduct. I am happy to recommend Coach Dan for any position he may be seeking, as he may be planning to advance and extend his career and attain many more goals and successes.

Coach Dan has had a huge impact on my daughter and the other players who were fortunate enough to play for his soccer team. Coach Dan is an excellent soccer coach, a fine mentor, and role model for all of his players. He is spiritually grounded and treats everyone with respect and dignity. After playing for him for only a short period of time we realized that success on the field is only a small part of what Coach Dan teaches his players.
