About Bailey

Receive Science or Spanish tutoring by a recent Brown University graduate with a BSc in Neuroscience with tutoring experience in these areas. New to this website!

I love the process of learning. In fact, I even work in memory research, where I learn about learning for a living.

Since education is so important, I think it very important that everyone has the chance to understand what is happening in the classroom.

I started teaching by being a student!

I just graduated from Brown University with a BSc in Neuroscience.

Science experience: I have taken many college-level science courses in Biology, Neuroscience, Chemistry, and Physics, and have a very good understanding of these disciplines. I was a teaching assistant for an introductory Psychology/Neuroscience course about sleep and worked with individual students to make sure everyone could thoroughly understand the course material.

Spanish experience: I am not a native speaker of Spanish, so I know what it is like to learn this language. I have taken many courses in Spanish at Brown and studied in Spanish University for a semester. Additionally, I was a teaching assistant for an intermediate Spanish course at Brown.

About the lesson

I start by working with the student to identify areas of strength and areas of weakness, and making a plan of how to improve the identified areas of weakness. I also ask the student what they believe would be most helpful to them, how they learn best, and what their schedule is for the class they need help with.

I then combine all of this information into plans of how to approach each session based on what they will be learning in school and how best to catch up. I leave space at the end of each tutoring session for feedback to make sure I am helping as much as possible.

I have worked with Brown University students, and when I was in high school I worked with high school students.
