About Nicole
I have a MA degree in Spanish Langauge, Literature and Culture from Marquette University in Milwaukee, WI. I have taught bilingual education for 6-9th grade and I have most recently been an adjunct professor for Spanish teaching Accelerated Beginning Spanish.
I have also lived and worked abroad in Spain, Peru, Costa Rica and Guatemala!

With a new student, I like to casually asses what their skills are through a typical conversation. Based on how well a student can respond in Spanish, I will increase the difficulty of the conversation until I see the student is obviously struggling. I also like to start with showing students how they already know some Spanish - whether they know it or not- and show them how they can use context clues and cognates to their advantage!
While I have taught kids of all ages, I have had most experience working with students aged 13 and up.
