About Taj
I've been teaching and tutoring for about 15 years. I've taught ESL, GED, Spanish, Math, Yoga, and Life Skills. I'm a good listener and easy to talk to. I was always very good in school and at taking tests. It makes me feel good to help others.
I've always loved school and learning new things. Spanish, reading, and writing are especially fun for me. I like getting to know new people, and I believe I make learning easy.
In college when I was studying Spanish I started teaching ESL to Spanish-speaking adults. That led to teaching GED preparation classes and basic skills at the same non-profit organization. From there I started teaching basic math and computer classes at a small college for adults. Then I moved to California and taught one-on-one classes of Spanish, yoga, and life skills to middle and high school students at a private school called Fusion Academy. I completed yoga teacher training and taught that as well as sound healing. I've also tutored on the side throughout those years.
