About Emily
As a new teacher, I believe I stand out because I can bring new and fresh ideas into a classroom. With a background in special education, I use Universal Design for Learning (UDL), to be able to cater lessons to individuals who a traditional lesson might not be right for.
I enjoy being able to work one on one with students to get them the help they need. I enjoy getting to know what they like, how they prefer to work, and what they want to learn so the student gets the most out of our time together!
I have student teaching experience in classroom settings from pre-k and kindergarten, and 3rd-6th grade. I also am an assistant director at a summer camp where I have experience working with children 5 years old to 15 years old.

I like getting to know the student first. I like to get to know their interests outside of the classroom as well as in the classroom. I like to find out how they learn best so I can cater to their learning needs.
I have worked with students of all abilities and backgrounds. I have experience in both urban and suburban schools and in general education and special education!
