About Cassie

I have been a instructual assistant for our school district for 7 years, working with special education students. From Kindergarten to 21yrs of age. I can help with the extremely low spectrum from easy basics of hygiene, daily chores etc. As well as the higher functioning and basic everyday skills as well as other subjects or learning levels your child is at. I have currently been working one on one with a young non verbal, autistic girl at her home for the past 3 years.

The love to help kids with special needs because they have feelings, different ways of learning,very smart and are just like everyone else. No one will ever be the same but we need to treat everyone equal and with compassion. And last, it has always been my calling I feel like.

I worked with a college in Oregon for 4 years doing administration work and was a administrator for the GED department as well as the special education department. I have voulenteer for years with special olympics as well with children with all different soecial needs level of children. I have been working for 6 years in the LISD area working with children on levels for the special education department.

About the lesson

It really depends on what the parents need me to work on with there child. Also the first time I meet the student I want take the time to get connected with them so they feel comfortable around me. And for special needs children it can take a while since newness is not often that easy on the child. I would find out from the parent as far as there likes and dislikes and how I can help there child.
