About Carrie
Swimming is a healthy, lifelong activity that can improve your wellbeing. If you want to exercise, race, or just stay active. In order to fulfill these goals in life, I want to help you build your confidence and skill in the pool, open-water or competitive settings.
I was recovering from shoulder surgery and hired a coach to help me get back in the water safely so I would not re-injure my shoulder, and she suggested I come teach too. It just sky-rocketed from there.
I am a USA Swimming, ASCA Level 3 certified swim coach. I have education credentials for age group to Master's and Open Water swimming courses with ASCA. I have been teaching lessons and coaching for 5 years with the Marlins of Raleigh here in Raleigh. I have been competing nationally as an open water swimmer for over ten years.
