About Christopher
I've had 8 years of private teaching experience and have worked with over 160 students to realize their passions with music. I'm a professional violinist originally from Louisville, KY. Here are a few brief aspects about me as an educator:
- 8 years of private teaching experience in Cincinnati, Cleveland, and Miami, FL (ages 4-80)
-VIA Summer Music Academy: Founder, Co-Artistic Director and Violin Teaching Artist.
-Faculty, Cincinnati Young Artists Chamber Music Festival
-Violin Coach and Mentor, Carnegie Hall NYO/NYO2 Summer Programs in New York, New York.
-Visiting Violin Instructor and chamber music coach, Iberacademy - Academia Filharmonica in Medellin, Colombia.
-Masterclasses for Nashville Symphony Orchestra's Accelerando Program.
-Sassmannshaus method certified teacher.
I started teaching during my undergraduate degree in Cincinnati, Ohio.
I've studied at some of the top-notch music conservatories and professional training programs in America including the Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music, Cleveland Institute of Music, and the New World Symphony.

Working with a new student is always an exciting process. It's important for the teacher to understand the student's goals with learning music and the violin. Whether that's learning a speicifc song/piece, getting to a certain level, or becoming a professional, it's essential for the teacher to understand early on to teach the student in the best way.
I've worked with beginning, intermediate, advanced, and pre-professional musicians from ages 4-80 years old.
