About Dr Dee
I am a trained archaeologist, currently working in higher education and research. My academic background spans Classics, archaeology, and the study of ancient cultures, with a particular focus on how we understand and interpret the ancient world through language, material evidence, and texts. Alongside my research, I enjoy teaching because it allows me to share this interdisciplinary perspective with students and make challenging subjects feel accessible and meaningful. I am especially interested in helping learners connect language study with historical and cultural context, and in supporting students as they develop confidence, independence, and analytical skills through their studies.

I am a university lecturer and PhD-qualified Classics tutor offering expert tuition in Ancient Greek and Latin at all levels, from Common Entrance and GCSE through to A-Level and undergraduate study. My teaching covers grammar, translation, unseen passages, set texts, and essay writing, with lessons tailored to each student’s needs and goals.
