Today’s global learner is looking for immediate relevancy with what they learn in class to apply to their professional careers. I have a wide range of professional and educational expertise that I integrate into my classroom to benefit learners to provide that instant connection and relevancy of the concepts. As someone who has lived abroad for over fourteen years, I have developed a sensitivity to people from distinct backgrounds giving a global impression of various learning styles. This opportunity has created valuable experience giving me a wealth of knowledge to pull from in my courses. I have found sharing real-world situations gives students a chance to connect the course material with their future career goals, and this helps build a solid foundation of knowledge.
