Fusion of Western and Indian elements is my core strength both as a performer and as a teacher.
I teach my students how to break down a song into segments and analyse not just the note sequences but also the technical aspects like the vocal register, intonation, diction and the likes. I go deep into analysing Ragas and their application in Bollywood songs and other popular songs.
I have more than 25 years of learning experience. I am a trained Indian classcial singer following the Kirana Gharana tradition and am presently a student of Ustad Arshad Ali Khan (nephew of the present Khalifa of the Gharana). I have also learned Western music and regularly perform both Indian and Western numbers.
Along with vocals (my core strength) I also teach guitar to beginner and intermediate level students.
