About Kahinee
With 8 years of professional teaching experience and over 150 successful students, I specialise in teaching flute to learners of all levels. I am committed to helping students build strong musical foundations while developing confidence and performance skills.
My tutoring approach combines structured lesson planning with flexibility. I begin by understanding each student’s level, strengths, and goals. Based on this, I create customised learning plans that include technical exercises, scales, music theory basics, and repertoire practice.
I focus on proper posture, embouchure development, breath management, articulation, and finger coordination. I also integrate rhythm training and sight-reading exercises to ensure well-rounded musical growth. For advanced students, I work on tone refinement, dynamic control, and performance preparation.
I regularly track progress and provide constructive feedback to ensure steady improvement. I also encourage students to record their practice sessions, helping them become more aware of their sound and technique.
My unique strength lies in balancing discipline with motivation. I create a supportive learning space where students feel encouraged to push their limits. Teaching flute is not just my profession—it is my passion, and I am dedicated to helping every student achieve their musical goals.

My teaching methodology for flute is based on Adaptation to Learning Styles, Flexibility, Collaboration, and Positivity. I understand that every student learns differently. Some students learn best through listening and imitation, while others prefer reading notation or understanding theory first. I carefully observe each student’s strengths and adapt my teaching methods to suit their individual learning style.
In flute lessons, I focus on building a strong foundation in breath control, posture, tone production, fingering technique, rhythm, and musical expression. I break down complex techniques into simple, practical steps so students can progress with confidence. I also teach music theory, sight-reading, ear training, and basic music notation alongside flute practice to ensure complete musical understanding.
Flexibility is important in my classes. I adjust lesson plans based on the student’s goals—whether they want to prepare for exams, stage performances, competitions, or learn for personal enjoyment. I encourage collaboration by involving students in selecting pieces and discussing musical interpretation. This makes learning more engaging and meaningful.
Positivity plays a key role in my teaching. I create a supportive and comfortable environment where students feel safe to make mistakes and grow. I celebrate progress, no matter how small, and motivate students to stay consistent. My goal is not only to teach flute skills but also to build confidence, discipline, and a lifelong love for music.
