About Soren

I am a committed flute tutor with 19+ years of experience teaching students from school to college level, and I am passionate about helping them grow both musically and personally. My journey in music has been filled with dedication, learning, and continuous improvement, and I aim to share this experience with my students.

Over the years, I have worked with many learners, helping them improve their skills and gain confidence in their performances. One of my proudest achievements has been seeing students participate in competitions and public events with confidence and enthusiasm.

My teaching method is simple, structured, and practical, focusing on strong fundamentals such as breathing techniques, finger placement, tone clarity, and consistent practice. I also encourage creativity and enjoyment in learning, as I believe music should be both meaningful and fun.

My goal is to create a supportive environment where students feel motivated, confident, and inspired to achieve their goals.

About the lesson

My teaching methodology for flute is built on Motivation, Communication, Integrity, and Creativity. I believe that every student has the ability to learn and enjoy music when they are guided in the right way.

I begin by understanding each student’s level, interest, and goals so I can create lessons that are personalised and effective. I motivate students by setting simple and achievable targets and encouraging them consistently, which helps them stay focused and confident.

Communication is very important in my teaching, and I explain breathing techniques, fingering, posture, and tone production in a clear and easy way. I ensure that students understand each concept before moving forward. With integrity, I guide students step by step and focus on building strong fundamentals.

I provide honest feedback and help them improve patiently. Creativity allows me to make lessons engaging by including songs, exercises, and interactive activities. Along with flute, I also teach music theory, rhythm, and listening skills to support complete musical development.
