About Martina
With 20 years of flute teaching experience and more than 150 students taught, I am committed to helping learners of all levels reach their musical potential. I focus on developing technical skills—breath control, tone, finger dexterity, and rhythm—while fostering creativity, improvisation, and expressive performance.
Lessons are adapted to each student’s learning style and goals, ensuring consistent progress and engagement. I also provide instruction in sight-reading, music theory, and ensemble participation, giving students a complete and well-rounded musical foundation. My goal is to cultivate confident, skilled, and passionate flutists who truly enjoy music.

My flute teaching methodology is centred on creating a student-focused, flexible, and collaborative learning environment. I begin by understanding each student’s learning style and design lessons that make concepts clear, exercises meaningful, and practice enjoyable. This ensures steady progress while nurturing a genuine love for music.
Flexibility allows me to adjust lesson plans, repertoire, and exercises to suit the student’s pace, goals, and interests. Collaboration is emphasised through duets, group exercises, and ensemble sessions, helping students build confidence, musical expression, and teamwork. Positivity underpins every lesson, creating a motivating environment where students feel safe to explore, learn from mistakes, and celebrate achievements.
Alongside flute instruction, I teach music theory, sight-reading, rhythm exercises, and ear training. This well-rounded methodology balances technical mastery with creative expression, helping students grow into confident, expressive, and versatile musicians.
