About Vera
I am a dedicated flute tutor with 17+ years of experience, having successfully taught around 150 students from beginner to advanced levels. I am passionate about helping students learn music in a clear and structured way.
My teaching method focuses on communication, patience, and flexibility, allowing me to adjust lessons based on each student’s learning pace and style. I emphasise strong fundamentals such as breathing, fingering, tone production, and rhythm. I make my classes engaging by including exercises, songs, and creative activities that keep students motivated.
I create a friendly and supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable to learn and grow. My strength lies in explaining concepts in a simple way and guiding students step by step. I also support students with basic music theory. My aim is to help students become confident and skilled flute players.

My flute teaching methodology is guided by adaptation to individual learning styles, flexibility in lesson planning, collaborative learning, and a consistently positive approach. I begin by understanding each student’s goals, strengths, and preferred learning methods, then design lessons that are both structured and engaging.
I focus on building strong fundamentals such as breath control, tone quality, posture, and finger coordination, as these are essential for confident playing. I remain flexible throughout the learning process, adjusting lessons based on the student’s progress and comfort level.
Collaboration is encouraged through active participation, discussions, and creative exercises that make learning more engaging. I maintain a supportive and motivating environment where students feel confident to explore and improve. Along with flute, I also teach music theory, rhythm, and ear training to develop complete musical skills.
