About Daire
Hi, I’m a recent post-graduate of Business Analytics at Maynooth University who’s always carried a strong passion for language and teaching.
In my undergraduate at Maynooth in International Business, I was fortunate to have many opportunities to utilise all oral, aural and written aspects of both my Irish and French.
It’s not so long ago I was sat on the other side of the screen just as you are yourself right now! I understand the pain of coming to grips with languages, on top of all the other new learnings you’re trying to retain from various other subjects. It’s a pain! I know this first hand!
Coming from primary school I still had no core foundation level of Irish. Just the same cúpla focáil that most adults in Ireland can barely remember still. For me it was especially hard given my own mother is an Irish and French teacher for +30 years and taught in the same school I attended!
But by ultimately beginning to understand core areas of all aspects of language, oral aural and written, I was able to focus on a smaller portion of the language that could be integrated into every part of my course studies throughout my second level education.
Over time by continuously improving upon from the level where I started out at, compounding my learning across each area of language, my overall grades, enjoyment, self fulfilment and general love for the Irish and French continuously improved also.
Yes there is graft, yes there is time and investment that goes into this. As a result after each session you will be be compounding your core knowledge language base, in turn systematically improving all areas of your language comprehension all at once.
School curriculums can be long and drawn out across all subjects. This is why it’s so important to get the most value for time throughout your study. The unnecessary boredom, stress and anxiety can all be avoided and re channeled to efficiently utilise learning methods in your studies, allowing you to work smarter with the limited amount of time available throughout your school year whilst in turn creating more time for other areas of study or interest.
