About Rafael
I do work related to contemporary visuality. I am passionate about the structures of language and its performers. My production is the way I reflect on my own existence, as well as the ways in which I relate to others. Although it is an intimate job, I try to ensure that the means in which I express myself can be a way of relating to the other. I went through a thousand and one schools (with a diploma and the whole thing). I am a digital artist, fashion designer, cultural manager and writer. (UNIVERSIDAD AUTÓNOMA DEL ESTADO DE MEXICO, UNIVERSIDAD DE GUADALAJARA, ESCUELA DE ESCRITORES DE MÉXICO). Currently I am focusing on graphic and textile design work: as an external consultant, designer and teacher.

Something that bothered me about school when I was a student was how complicated simple topics became, I saw many of my teachers (not all) without the spirit of teaching, dictating the note as more than 5 centuries ago. My teaching method is based on making simple what is simple, with explanations that help us understand the background of what we are doing so that we are able to think in processes and not to memorize instructions.
