About Kornelijus

Active as a filmmaker and scriptwriter since 2016, with short films and video projects screened at many international festivals including IDFA, Big Sky Documentary Film Festival, Alcine 54, Porto/Post/Doc, Riga IFF, and Kino Pavasaris, among others.

In 2024, I created a short film under the artistic mentorship of the legendary director Werner Herzog in the project Under The Volcano. The film received the Werner Herzog Film Distribution Award.

My work also includes writing film scripts and shorts, consulting on television projects as a script consultant, and producing documentary films through an independent production company.

About the lesson

I help beginner filmmakers develop strong ideas, write scripts and turn them into short films or professional portfolios. My consultations are best for aspiring filmmakers, thinking about a film school or trying to get their first short film or a feature script going.

In our sessions we work with real materials: scripts, story ideas, visual concepts, portfolio pieces and production plans. The goal is to help each filmmaker move forward with their project and develop a personal voice early in their creative practice.

First Free Lesson (45 minutes)
In the first session we will:

• discuss your goals as a filmmaker
• review a short film idea, script or portfolio material
• identify the next steps for developing your project

This session helps us understand whether the mentorship is the right fit for the both of us.

Consultation Session (60 minutes)

A focused consultation for filmmakers who want feedback on:

• a short film idea
• a script draft
• a filmmaking portfolio

I also offer two long-term courses:

Portfolio Development Mentorship (2-4 months)
• weekly 45-minute meetings
• I review your materials weekly before the lesson (up to 15 pages and/or 20 minutes of film)

Price: 120 £ / month

This is designed for filmmakers preparing a film portfolio or film school applications.

Short Film Development (3-9 months)

• weekly 75-minute meetings
• ongoing feedback on script and project development during the meetings

Price: 100 £ / month

This mentorship supports filmmakers through the entire process of developing a short film, from idea to finished project. We work on story development, scriptwriting, directing approach and production planning.
