About Jeremy

Hi, I’m Jeremy, a final-year Bachelor of Laws student with a strong interest in legal education, advocacy, and helping other students build confidence in their studies. I have maintained a GPA of 6.1 throughout my degree and have developed strong skills in legal research, legal writing, case analysis, statutory interpretation, problem-solving, and exam preparation. I have also participated in multiple mooting assessments, legal research projects, and have completed study through Griffith University, which has broadened my experience with different teaching styles and assessment expectations. I currently hold a student leadership role as the Gold Coast Representative for the Southern Cross University Law Student Society, which has strengthened my communication, organization, and student-support skills. My tutoring style is patient, practical, and structured. I understand that law and Legal Studies can feel overwhelming at first, so I focus on making difficult concepts easier to understand and showing students how to apply them clearly in assignments, exams, and oral presentations.

About the lesson

Hi, I’m Jeremy, a final-year Bachelor of Laws student offering tutoring in Legal Studies, all law subjects, legal writing, legal research, exam preparation, and problem-solving structure.

My lessons are designed to make legal concepts easier to understand and apply. I focus on breaking down difficult topics into clear steps, then showing students how to use those principles in essays, assignments, case summaries, and hypothetical problem questions. Where relevant, I can help students improve their use of IRAC-style structure, statutory interpretation, case analysis, research methods, referencing, and exam planning.

I can also assist students with moot preparation, including understanding the problem question, identifying the strongest legal issues, structuring written and oral submissions, preparing speaking notes, developing persuasive arguments, and practising responses to likely questions from the bench. Having participated in university moots myself, I understand how difficult it can be to move from legal research into confident oral advocacy. My goal is to help students feel more prepared, organised, and confident when presenting their submissions.

A typical lesson will usually run for 60 minutes, although longer sessions can be arranged for assignment preparation, exam revision, or more detailed problem-question practice. Each lesson can be adapted to the student’s needs, whether they want help understanding a topic, planning an assessment, improving their writing, or preparing for an exam.

As a law student, I understand how overwhelming legal study can feel at first. My approach is patient, practical, and structured. I aim to help students build confidence, understand what the question is asking, and develop a clear method for answering legal problems.

My lessons are suitable for high school Legal Studies students, university law students, and students who want support with legal research, legal writing, case reading, essay structure, and exam preparation.
