About Maryam

Within my teaching experience, I have understood the importance of building academic confidence. My experience supporting students from different backgrounds and ability levels means I am able to adapt my teaching style to suit individual needs.

I believe patience and clear explanations are key to learning. Sometimes a concept needs to be explained differently, or a student simply needs a comfortable environment where they feel confident asking questions. I can also help students strengthen their exam technique through practice, enabling them to build confidence and reach their full potential.

About the lesson

Typically a 1-hour session, using exam board-specific questions to clearly enhance exam techniques and support topics learnt in class. If topics have not been understood or the student is keen to get ahead, I'm happy to teach areas from scratch as well. I achieved an A grade in my Psychology A-Level and have taught the AQA and Edexcel exam boards previously. I am also able to teach core GCSE subjects such as Maths, English, and various science subjects, having achieved a minimum of grade 7 in these exams.
