About Emily
Hello,
I am a Finance/Management graduate from a private school, where I found that one of my favorite "non-major" subjects was English/Composition. I have advanced interest in short-story writing, and have provided proof-reading and constructive suggestions to many of my friends and colleagues.

My teaching method is as follows: Everyone has their own, unique set of ideas. They have dreams, passions, and different viewpoints and perceptions... The only way to actively "step into someone else's shoes" or to understand where they're coming from is through our communication. For me, I believe it is most important to, first, understand where the writer is coming from and THEN put it into words that can be translated by a majority of the population. You see, writing isn't about fancy words... It's about getting your point across and adding your own flair to your writing. With that, I believe students should be able to write freely, and receive helpful tips on how to edit their pieces for the most reader-friendly result.
