About Imoge

I am a passionate and reliable Flute tutor with over 12 years of teaching experience. I work with School students, College students, and working professionals who want to learn flute for education, performance, or personal interest.

My teaching approach is clear and structured. I focus on posture, breathing techniques, finger control, tone clarity, rhythm accuracy, and musical interpretation. Lessons are planned to suit each student’s level and goals.

I believe strong communication helps students learn effectively. I explain concepts in simple steps and provide demonstrations. Accountability is maintained through regular practice planning and progress tracking. I teach with honesty and integrity, always supporting the student’s growth.

Along with flute lessons, I also teach music theory, notation reading, rhythm exercises, and basic performance techniques. I assist students with exam preparation and stage confidence.

My unique strength is my calm teaching style and ability to adapt lessons to busy professional schedules and young learners. I create a positive learning environment that builds confidence and discipline.

About the lesson

I follow a teaching methodology that emphasises Communication, Creativity, and Flexibility, aiming to help students become confident, expressive, and skilled flautists. I start by assessing the student’s skill level, musical interests, and learning goals. Communication is central to my approach—I explain concepts like breathing techniques, fingering, and musical phrasing clearly and provide constructive feedback to guide improvement.

Creativity is at the heart of my lessons. Students are encouraged to explore different musical styles, improvise, and compose simple melodies. This nurtures artistic expression while keeping learning enjoyable. Flexibility allows me to adapt lessons in real-time, providing additional practice, simplifying challenging topics, or introducing advanced techniques based on the student’s progress.

Alongside flute performance, I integrate music theory, rhythm, sight-reading, and aural skills, giving students a solid foundation in all aspects of musicianship. My approach ensures that students develop technical competence, expressive abilities, and a genuine love for music, making learning a rewarding and inspiring experience.
