About Rebecca

Hello, I'm Rebecca. I'm a copywriter, artist and writer who lives in Glasgow. I am extremely excited to begin my tutoring journey and strive to inspire students with greater confidence and love for literature. I’m a warm and patient person and will work with you to build confidence and creativity.

About the lesson

I’m extremely passionate about all things literature, reading and writing. Most importantly, I’m dedicated to ensuring you leave lessons with new found joy for the subject. I understand how essential personalised and accessible learning is to give you confidence going into exams and later life. I will work to understand what you need and wish to gain from tutoring and each lesson will be tailored to your specific interests. Lessons will typically last 45 minutes to 1 hour 30 minutes depending on student requirements and preference.

My experience includes a first-class degree in English Literature from the University of Glasgow and straight As at National 5, Higher and Advanced Higher level. With clear memories of my own high school exams and the knowledge of my degree, I offer guidance on written work, oral presentations, proofreading, past paper practise and more. I’m also excited to offer feedback on creative writing course work and portfolios for university applications.

Rebecca is kind, patient, organised and detail oriented, which makes them an excellent tutor. They have outstanding linguistics knowledge because of their undergraduate studies in literature and always have incredibly fun book recommendations thanks to which I have expanded my English vocabulary as a foreigner. They make learning a delightful experience!
