About Madison
My name is Madison and I am passionate about History. I was lucky enough to receive an excellent education in the subject at secondary school and thus achieved an A at GCSE, A-Level and in my EPQ. This convinced me to pursue the subject at degree level. I studied at Queen Mary University of London (QMUL) and graduated with a First. This academic background has equipped me with a deep understanding of historical concepts, research skills, and the ability to effectively communicate complex ideas to students. My dissertation explored the change in approach to women’s medicine in modern history and achieved a First Class mark.

When it comes to tutoring history, my approach is to create an engaging and interactive learning environment that promotes critical thinking, analysis, and a deep understanding of historical events and concepts. I employ a variety of techniques and teaching methodologies to cater to the individual learning styles and needs of my students. This includes a combination of discussions, visual aids, primary source analysis, and interactive activities. I encourage students to actively participate in class discussions, ask questions, and engage in critical analysis of historical sources outside of my tutoring. Each history lesson typically lasts for about 1 hour. This duration allows for a focused and productive learning experience without overwhelming the student.
