About Odwyer
My name is Alison and I am from Ireland and have lived here over 30 years with English being my first language. I currently work in the corporate sector in Ireland and deal directly with a lot of clients whose first language is not English. From experience and conversation with my clients, I have learned that the teaching of English in Ireland can be a difficult process as clients often find they struggle to find a tutor who can offer patience and engagement to help them develop English skills. I am passionate about the English language and previously taught in secondary schools in Ireland; however, I believe my corporate job has provided the most experience for dealing with clients whose first language is not English. I am a patient individual and I am interested in people and helping them develop English. I am also an avid reader and have read 100s of books which have contributed to the ability to teach English.
