About Ella Mai
Biology always excited me in school, though I understand that for many students, it can feel overwhelming and challenging. In secondary school, I was diagnosed with dyslexia, which meant I often had to put in twice the effort and time to grasp certain concepts. This experience ignited my passion for helping others facing similar challenges. Tutoring gives me the opportunity to support students who need that extra guidance, whether they're dyslexic or not.

Through my experience teaching sailing over the summers, I’ve learned to adapt my teaching methods to accommodate all ages and abilities. Using techniques like repetition-based games and word recognition strategies, I've applied similar approaches to my tutoring. While my lessons primarily focus on Leaving Certificate Biology, my background in physics and chemistry also allows me to support Junior Certificate science students. Sessions typically run for 45 minutes to an hour, and group lessons can be arranged if preferred.
