About Liam

I am a postgraduate Finance & Investment Banking student at Grenoble École de Management and a First-Class Economics & Management graduate from King’s College London. Through my academic journey and work experience in finance and analysis, I have developed strong analytical thinking, organisation, and communication skills.

Alongside my studies, I have worked with students in tutoring and childcare roles, as well as serving as a summer camp counsellor in the United States. These experiences have strengthened my ability to connect with students, build trust, and create a supportive learning environment where they feel comfortable asking questions and developing confidence.

I take a patient, structured, and encouraging approach to teaching. My aim is not only to help students improve their grades, but also to develop their confidence, independence, and long-term academic skills.

About the lesson

My English Literature lessons focus on improving analysis, essay structure, and critical thinking. I guide students through texts step-by-step, helping them develop clear arguments and strong written responses. With a strong academic background and top GCSE English results, I understand how to approach exam questions effectively. Lessons typically last 60 minutes and involve discussion of themes, close textual analysis, and essay practice. I work with GCSE and A-Level students who want to improve their interpretation skills and achieve higher marks in essays and exams.

My English Language lessons focus on exam technique, writing skills, and reading comprehension. Having achieved a Grade 9 in GCSE English Language, I understand the skills required to succeed in the exam and help students develop clear structure, vocabulary, and analytical responses. Lessons usually last 60 minutes and include practice questions, feedback on writing, and strategies for approaching different question types. I teach GCSE students aiming to improve confidence, exam performance, and overall writing ability.
