About Jessica

Hello! I’m Jess, a first-class Law graduate from the University of Cambridge. I am currently preparing for the SQE solicitor exams before I begin my training contract at a Magic Circle firm in London. My passion for law is matched by my dedication to making the learning process as comfortable and accessible as possible for my students. I understand how challenging legal studies can be, and I aim to make your study experience both enjoyable and effective. Outside of my academic and professional life I love to run, read and play the guitar (although I’m not exactly a virtuoso!). I also cherish spending time with my friends and family, which helps me stay grounded and connected to the things that matter most. Above all, I’m personable and approachable—so you can feel confident in reaching out for help whenever you need it!

About the lesson

My passion for law – both as an academic discipline and professional practice – drives my commitment to helping students not only excel in their legal studies but also in their future careers. Teaching I appreciate how challenging studying law can be and recognise that no one student learns or develops in the same way. My aim is to transform the learning process into a stress-free and enjoyable journey. My teaching philosophy centres on simplifying complex legal content into digestible lessons, focusing both on content coverage and practical application, whether through problem questions, essay writing or multiple-choice questions. I adopt a student-centred, interactive approach tailored to meet the individual needs and preferences of each student. Whether you prefer structured lessons aligned with your syllabus or a more discussion-based style where we work through specific areas you’re struggling with, I’m here to support you every step of the way. Together, we’ll explore intricate legal concepts, tackle exam questions and ensure you feel confident in applying your knowledge. Revision resources and exam preparation Mastering the content is just the beginning. My focus also extends to effective revision strategies and ensuring students know how to apply their knowledge in exams. I offer a variety of revision tools, including: • Condensed topic summaries • Flowcharts and flashcards • Essay and problem question structures • Exemplar essays • Revision plans and timetables I am here to help you refine your essay-writing techniques, develop your approach to problem questions and hone your exam strategies. I also provide personalised revision plans leading up to mocks and final exams, helping you stay organised and on track.
