About Ellie
I have being a teaching assistant for over a year with experience working with children in both primary and secondary schools . I have worked as a private tutor for English and History for two years, with experience helping my students pass their A Levels, improve their written and analytical skills for University level essays and consistently helped prepare high school pupils for their final exams. Also, I work as a tutor to teach students of English as a second language. In the past I have helped students pass the Cambridge C1 Exam and gain confidence with speaking English.
My degree was in History where I gained a first class honors from a leading Russell Group University in the subject. The extensive writing skills needed for my degree, plus my experience working in schools, means that I have excellent English writing skills and I know how to easily impart this knowledge! Furthermore, I have worked in English language teaching in various countries ranging from Cambodia to Spain!

Most commonly I give lessons to students undertaking GCSEs in History and English, or degree students wishing to improve their writing skills. I always try to tailor my approach specifically to the student and what they wish or need to improve on the most. My methodology often includes reading and discussions, perhaps of topics where knowledge needs to be focused and then tailoring writing tasks based around this. I attempt to make my approach as engaging and interactive as possible!
