About Jai Kiran
Academically, I achieved 11 Grade 9s at GCSE, A*s in Chemistry and Psychology at A-Level, alongside an A in History and an A* in my EPQ. I recently graduated from Warwick Law School with a First-Class degree. During my degree, I particularly focused on family and child law, international human rights law and property law, achieving First-Class marks across these areas, including grades ranging from 74 to 82.
Alongside my academic experience, I have completed legal and professional placements across organisations including Citizens Advice, legal pro bono clinics and Bank of America. I have secured a commercial law training contract with Clyde & Co, and have also progressed to the final stages of recruitment processes with leading firms including Hogan Lovells Cadwalader and Charles Russell Speechlys. This has given me first-hand experience of a wide range of commercial law application processes, including written applications, online assessments, video interviews and assessment centres.

Hi, I’m Kiran. I primarily support students applying for commercial law vacation schemes and training contracts, including application reviews, Watson Glaser and situational judgement test preparation, video interview practice and assessment centre preparation. I also offer coursework review for undergraduate law students, particularly in family law, child law, and land law.
I have several years of tutoring and mentoring experience across different academic levels. I previously worked as a GCSE Mathematics tutor, supporting students in progressing from Grade 4 level to Grades 7–9, and I have also tutored A-Level Chemistry.
Over the past two years, I have increasingly focused on mentoring students through commercial law recruitment processes. This has included reviewing written applications, helping students strengthen their commercial awareness, preparing for psychometric tests and practising interviews and assessment centres. Students I have supported have successfully progressed through different stages of the recruitment process and gone on to secure training contracts at leading law firms.
My approach is supportive but detailed. I focus on helping students understand how to improve their own work or performance, rather than simply telling them what to write or say. Whether reviewing a law application, preparing for an assessment centre or improving academic coursework, I aim to give practical, specific feedback that students can apply independently in future.
