About Anson
My name is Anson, I'm from Hong Kong and now studying in the UK as a first year college student doing medical biosciences at Imperial College London. Among my many hobbies, my favourite has to be hockey, but I also used to game a lot. As I have just graduated from high school not long ago, I still have the youthful heart of a high school student, so feel free to treat me as a peer and a friend! I believe effective communication is crucial for a lot of things, which is why I want to teach English. Therefore, I will make sure I'm effectively communicating with my students to understand their needs and areas of improvement to personalise the whole tutoring experience. Feel free to ask me for life advice as well!

I will personalise my lessons once I get to know my student well. My focus will be helping my students improve in practical English, not just academically. The length of a lesson with me is up to you, as long as our schedules are free. I have experience in teaching primary school children (P1-3) English. However, I also help out my classmates in high school as well. My lessons are for students aged up to 18, hoping to improve English especially in real life situations (speaking). Non-native speakers would be perfect as I know how it's like to learn English as a non-native. I can speak Chinese and Cantonese well. I may also help with writing personal statements, giving ideas or comments on drafts, as I have pretty good experience in that, whilst providing advice for college applications and such, as well as general career advice or insights.
