About Gemma
Music is a wonderful way to express thoughts and emotions, and I am grateful to have spent the last 12 years teaching flute to school and college students. My teaching style is patient, flexible, and focused on helping every learner reach their personal goals.
Students begin with breathing exercises, posture, finger techniques, rhythm, scales, and tone production before learning musical expression and performance skills. I encourage students to enjoy every lesson and celebrate every improvement. Seeing students grow into confident musicians continues to motivate me every day.
Along with flute, I also teach music theory, sight reading, ear training, rhythm practice, music appreciation, and beginner improvisation. My aim is to create confident learners who enjoy making music.

My teaching philosophy is to make flute learning enjoyable, practical, and rewarding. I teach using Motivation, Communication, Integrity, and Creativity because these values encourage students to develop confidence and strong musical abilities.
Lessons begin with breathing techniques, posture, finger exercises, rhythm, note reading, and tone quality. As students improve, they continue with articulation, scales, dynamics, improvisation, musical interpretation, and concert preparation.
Motivation inspires students to practice regularly and believe in their progress. Communication allows every concept to be explained clearly using practical demonstrations. Integrity ensures honesty, patience, professionalism, and equal attention in every class.
Creative learning includes movie songs, classical pieces, rhythm games, listening exercises, duet practice, improvisation, and stage preparation. Along with flute, I teach recorder, music theory, beginner keyboard, sight reading, rhythm development, ear training, and music appreciation.
