About Allison
I am a veteran teacher with a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education, and a Master's degree as a Reading Specialist. I taught Elementary school for over 20 years before becoming an Intensive Language Arts teacher for Junior and Senior High School students, many of whom required accommodated and differentiated instruction.
My decades of experience allows me to craft lessons that are meaningful and enjoyable, and that address individual student needs.

I use avarity of methods to teach reading strategies and skills to diverse learners. I often use movies to teach students how to visualize as they read, as well as to teach the strategies that can then be applied to all reading materials. I also use puzzles to teach reading strategies.
