About Cleo

I have been teaching French for more than 4 years, and I hold a Bachelor of Applied Languages (French) in education. My experience is centred on working with children aged 5–12, and I love introducing them to the beauty of French in fun and exciting ways. I believe that learning a language at a young age should feel like an adventure, not a chore. In my lessons, I use interactive storytelling to spark imagination and help children connect words to real-life situations. Songs and rhymes make vocabulary and pronunciation easy to remember, while movement activities keep the sessions lively and engaging. With these methods, children absorb foundational vocabulary, clear pronunciation, and simple grammar naturally. I focus on making every lesson playful, so children enjoy the process and look forward to learning more. My strength lies in creating moments that are both educational and memorable, where students feel joy in every new word they learn. I adapt activities to suit each child’s interests, ensuring that learning feels personal and meaningful. I believe confidence is just as important as knowledge. By encouraging curiosity, I guide young learners to explore French with enthusiasm and without fear of mistakes. My goal is to nurture both their skills and their love for the language.

About the lesson

My teaching approach is based on making French simple, enjoyable, and meaningful. I focus on helping students understand the language at a deeper level rather than just memorising rules. I use interactive lessons that combine speaking, listening, reading, and writing. This balance ensures that learners build confidence in real communication. To make lessons engaging, I use French literature, short stories, and poems to improve comprehension and appreciation of culture. I also include news articles, debates, and role-plays to sharpen critical thinking and fluency. Creative writing exercises help students express themselves freely while expanding their vocabulary. For those aiming at professional growth, I emphasise workplace communication, formal writing, and presentations. Hobby learners enjoy conversational practice, music, and everyday dialogues. My lessons adapt to both groups with equal support. Students are encouraged to set goals, and I guide them step by step in achieving them. Every learner’s progress is celebrated, and challenges are turned into opportunities. I believe in patience, motivation, and a personalised learning path. My aim is not only to teach French but also to make students feel passionate and confident in using it every day.
