About Greta
I am a French minor who has been studying French for 10 years (fluent) and has lived in a Francophone country where I was constantly immersed in the language. I have tutored schoolchildren of all ages in subjects like English, math, writing, and science, and have worked both one-on-one and with classroom-sized groups of students and adults in leading various activities.
Having more recently experienced middle school, high school, and college French classes firsthand, I understand the curriculum well and how to work through areas that language-learners tend to find difficult.

Learning a language can be difficult at times, so I like to break down the tough challenges into pieces which are much more digestible for the learner. If I have learned anything from my French studies, it is not to be afraid to speak just because you may be wrong. It is so much more rewarding to try your best and be corrected, for that is how I believe you learn best, especially with a foreign language.
I have taught students in many different grades and have led groups of college students, adults, and retirees, and so when approaching a tutoring session with someone I like to get an idea of where they are in the material, how they best like to learn, and try to integrate that approach as best I can into what I am teaching.
