I believe in tailoring each lesson to the unique needs of my students. I focus on building a strong foundation in flute technique, including proper posture, embouchure, and breath control. I incorporate music theory and ear training to enhance overall musicality and understanding. My teaching is interactive and student-centered, ensuring that lessons are engaging and promote active learning.
A standard lesson begins with warm-ups and scales to develop tone and technical precision. We then move to exercises targeting specific skills, such as articulation or dynamic control, followed by repertoire practice, focusing on expression and performance techniques. Lessons may also include sight-reading, improvisation, or duet playing to keep sessions diverse and enjoyable.
My passion for music and personalized approach help students feel motivated and supported. I emphasize both technical mastery and creative expression, inspiring students to connect with their instrument and enjoy the learning process. My background in performing and my patient, approachable style create a positive and encouraging environment.
